The Council of the European Union issues conclusions inviting member states to consider measuring volunteering and recognizes the ILO Manual.
September 2011
The EVMP, the ILO, and the Polish Ministry of Labour and Social Policy co-host a technical workshop for statistical officials in Warsaw.
The European Commission issues a Communication calling for the measurement of volunteering and recommending the ILO Manual.
August 2011
The print version of the ILO Manual becomes available.
July 2011
The EVMP addresses the EYV Alliance and conducts a training session for its members.
June 2011
The EVMP is highlighted at a conference in Sarajevo hosted by the South East European Youth Network (SEEYN).

The EVMP conducts its first training session in Tallinn, Estonia to prepare volunteer leaders to promote implementation of the Manual in Europe.

The International Labour Organization approves the final language of the ILO Manual.
